Philip J. Winslow, O.D. graduated from Clark University with a B.A. in biology. Dr. Winslow was awarded his Doctor of Optometry degree by MCPHS University School of Optometry in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he graduated with honors. He has completed internships throughout the New England area. Most notably, he has interned at tertiary eye care facilities such as Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut and Worcester Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic.
Dr. Winslow has been working in field of eye care since 2009, starting as an ophthalmic technician in the south coast area before becoming a licensed optometrist. He practices at our Dartmouth, Fall River, and New Bedford locations. He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometry, Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society, and also practices in Rhode Island. He specializes in the treatment of ocular disease and fitting contact lenses.
Dr. Winslow resides in North Providence, R.I. In his free time, he loves spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends. He also has a passion for playing hockey, skiing, and reading.
Dr. Mason is a native of Easton, Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater State College, where graduated Magna Cum Lade in 1983. He earned his doctorate of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry where he graduated with honors in 1987.
Dr. Mason served on active duty in the Navy from 1992 to 1999, holding Department Head positions in Optometry Clinics in Newport, RI and Portsmouth, NH. During his service at both commands he also served as the director of clinical externship for two optometry programs. He founded the program in Portsmouth, being named as an Adjunct Professor to the New England College of Optometry and the Illinois College of Optometry for his efforts. Dr. Mason is also a 1994 graduate of the Naval War College non-resident program.
Dr. Mason entered the Navy Reserve in 2001 and served as Assistant Officer-In-Charge for Detachment C, Operational Health Support Unit (OHSU), Bethesda, during Operations Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom. From 2007 to 2009 he served as the Officer in Charge of DET V, OHSU Portsmouth. From 2009 to 2011 he served as Officer in Charge for DET M, OHSU Portsmouth. In 2012 he was promoted to the rank of Captain and served as the Director for Administration for the 18 detachments and 600+ sailors of OHSU Jacksonville in 2013-2014. He subsequently served a tour as the Director for Administration for the 16 detachments and 600+ sailors of Expeditionary Medical Facility, Great Lakes One, in 2015. He presently serves as an Administration Officer for EMF Bethesda.
Dr. Mason maintains membership in the Reserve Officer’s Association and in the Armed Forces Optometric Society. His military awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of four awards), Navy Achievement Award, two Meritorious Unit Awards, Overseas Service Ribbon and the Navy Reserve Medal. He lives in Bridgewater with his wife Teresa and his two daughters. He enjoys running and traveling with his family.
Christina M. Buonomo is a Massachusetts native and graduated cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a B.S. in psychology and pre-med. She then attended the New England College of Optometry where she interned at many local hospitals and clinics such as: the Boston and Jamaica Plain VA Hospitals, and the Lynn, East Boston, and Joseph Smith community health centers. She also spent time interning at Capital Eye Consultants of VA where she managed post-cataract patients. Before joining Advanced Eye Centers, Dr. Buonomo worked with patients in a private practice environment. She loves family-oriented care and treasures the deep personal connections she makes with her patients and their families.
Dr. Buonomo is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometry. She practices in our Dartmouth, New Bedford, and Fall River locations.
Dr. Buonomo recently moved from her neighborhood in Somerville to start a new adventure in Lakeville, MA. In her free time, she enjoys skating, skiing, hiking, playing guitar, watching movies, and spending time with her family and with her high school sweetheart, Alex.
Dr. Murphy graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts and majored in Biology. His Doctor of Optometry degree was awarded by New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. He also completed an Optometry residency in ocular disease at Brockton VA Medical Center.
Dr. Murphy has been in practice for 8 years and enjoys examining patients of all ages. He has interest in diagnosis and management of ocular surface conditions and diagnosis or retinal disease. He also has experience fitting many types of contact lenses including multifocal, toric and gas permeable contact lenses.
Dr. Murphy was born in Brockton and grew up in Duxbury, Massachusetts. He currently lives on the South Shore with his wife and two daughters. He spends his time following the Boston sports teams, is involved in his local church and enjoys vacationing with his family.
Dr. Marques graduated from Stonehill College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry in 19992 from the New England College of Optometry. In 1987 and 1988 she completed clinical externships in Boston and Atlanta, GA. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Optometry and is TPA (therapeutic pharmaceutical agents) certified.
She specializes in medical Optometry including routine eye examinations, post operative care, and contact lens fittings.
She has been practicing in Fall River and Taunton since 1992 and will continue to see patients in our Fall River and Taunton Offices.
Dr. Marques is fluent in Portuguese and lives in Fall River with her husband and daughter.
