Rodney L. Immerman, O.D.

Rodney L. Immerman, O.D. graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science in 1980 from Illinois College of Optometry, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology, cum laude, in 1978 from Boston University. He routinely evaluates patients with ARMD, DMD, Stargardt’s, macular holes, uveitis, giant tears, PDR, ROP, RP and high myopia.  Dr. Immerman has been a part of the AdvancedEye Centers, Inc. team specializing in low vision since February 15, 2007. Dr. Immerman is a consultant to The Massachusetts Commission of the Blind and Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.

Kathryn M. Arruda, O.D.

Kathryn M. Arruda, O.D. graduated from Boston University in 1984 with a B.S. in Bio-Medical Engineering then continued on to New England College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry in 1988. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Optometry and is TPA (therapeutic pharmaceutical agents) certified.

Dr. Arruda served in the United States Navy from 1990-1994 where she performed a wide range of optometric services including general exams and contact lens care, as well as utilizing a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic drug therapies on active duty and retired military personnel and their dependents. She has been practicing optometry since 1988.

Dr. Arruda resides in Mansfield, MA with her husband, Joseph Tarantino, O.D., and their two children.

Lori Michaud, O.D.

Lori Michaud, O.D. graduated Beta Sigma Kappa, cum Laude from New England College of Optometry in Boston in 1998. She also graduated with honors from the University of Maine receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Zoology in 1994.

Dr. Michaud with more than ten years experience has performed eye examinations, ophthalmologic consultations, contact lens fittings and spectacle dispensing.

Paul J. Botelho, M.D.

Paul J. Botelho, M.D. is a Fellowship-trained Cornea and Refractive Surgeon specializing in Laser Vision Correction, Corneal Transplant and Cataract Surgery. He is board Certified Ophthalmologist and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Botelho graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts from College of Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He received his Medical Doctorate from Boston University School of Medicine and his internship from Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA.

Upon completion of his ophthalmology residency from the University of Missouri, Dr. Botelho served as Chief of Ophthalmology with the United States Air Force. He then completed a Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at The Wilmer Eye Institute, The John’s Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Botelho has participated in clinical research projects and authored numerous research publications, book chapters and review articles. He has received the 2004-05 Terrance P. O’Brien, MD Research Award from Johns Hopkins University and the 2007 H. Frederick Stephens, MD Resident Teaching Award from Brown University.

Dr. Botelho served as the Assistant Clinical Professor and Chief of Cornea in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI. He is a member of the medical and surgical staff at St. Luke’s Hospital, Charlton Memorial Hospital, St. Anne’s Hospital, and Advanced Eye Surgery Center.

Dr. Botelho grew up in Taunton, MA and continues to provide exceptional eye care to his native southern New England area. He enjoys spending his free time with his two children, Paul Jay and Kathryn Marie.

Marc P. Wladis, M.D.

Marc P. Wladis, M.D. received a B.A. degree from Cornell University-College of Arts & Sciences in 1976, and then continued on to the University Of Michigan School Of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1980. He completed his Internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI in 1981 and his Residency at Boston University Hospital in 1984. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, New England Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Wladis has been practicing ophthalmology since 1984. In January, 2004, Dr. Wladis and Scott M. Corin, M.D., founded Advanced Eye Centers, Inc.

He is on staff at Advanced Eye Surgery Center and Southcoast Hospitals Group.

Dr. Wladis resides in Lakeville, MA with his wife Susan and three children.
